     He was Dip –34: Attaché St Petersburg 1908, 3rd Sec 1910 there and Washington 1913, 2nd Sec 1917, 1st Sec Paris 1920 and Brussels 1921, FO 1924, Officer Order Leopold of Belgium Serv 1907.1 He graduated with a Eton and Balliol College Oxford Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1 3rd Baron Monteagle of Brandon.1 He was Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.) in 1922.1 He was Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1926.1

     Theodosia Spring Rice was the daughter of Hon. Stephen Edmond Spring Rice and Ellen Mary Frere.2 She married Reverend Edward William Chapman, son of W. G. Chapman, on 30 April 1872.1 She died on 6 July 1926.1
      In 1870 granted with her sisters and elder brother Francis before he inherited the title rank of baron's dau/yr s.1 From 30 April 1872, her married name became Chapman.
