Sir Thomas Newcomen, 8th Bt. was born in 1740.1 He was the son of Sir Arthur Newcomen, 7th Bt. and Elizabeth Moore.1 He married Lady Margaret Bourke, daughter of John Bourke, 1st Earl of Mayo and Mary Deane, in 1761.1 He died on 27 April 1789.1

Arabella Mackworth-Praed was the daughter of William Mackworth-Praed and Susannah Stokes.1,2 She married John Bourke, 4th Earl of Mayo, son of Most Rev. Joseph Deane Bourke, 3rd Earl of Mayo and Elizabeth Meade, on 24 May 1792.1 She died on 19 November 1843.1
She was Lady-in-Waiting to Queen Adelaide.1 From 24 May 1792, her married name became Bourke.1 After her marriage, Arabella Mackworth-Praed was styled as Countess of Mayo on 20 August 1794.
