     Alexander Macdonald, 10th of Glenaladale was born circa 1786.2 He was the son of Alexander Macdonald, 9th of Glenaladale and unknown daughter Macgregor.2 He died in 1814, unmarried.1
     He was succeeded in Glenaladale by his cousin, John Macdonald 3rd of Borrodale, and in Lochshiel by his cousin Archibald Macdonald of Rhue.2

     Ranald Macdonald, 2nd of Borodale is the son of Angus Macdonald, 1st of Borodale.2
     He gained the rank of Officer in the Jacobite Army.1

     John Macdonald, 3rd of Borodale and 11th of Glenaladale was the son of Ranald Macdonald, 2nd of Borodale.2 He married Jane Mcnab, daughter of Alexander Mcnab of Innishewen, in 1793.1 He died in 1830.1

     Jane Mcnab was the daughter of Alexander Mcnab of Innishewen.2 She married John Macdonald, 3rd of Borodale and 11th of Glenaladale, son of Ranald Macdonald, 2nd of Borodale, in 1793.1 She died in 1827.1
     From 1793, her married name became Macdonald.

     Angus Macdonald, 12th of Glenaladale was born in 1793.1 He was the son of John Macdonald, 3rd of Borodale and 11th of Glenaladale and Jane Mcnab.2 He married Mary Agnes Watson, daughter of Hugh Watson of Torsonce, in 1836.1 He died in 1870.1

     Mary Agnes Watson was the daughter of Hugh Watson of Torsonce.2 She married Angus Macdonald, 12th of Glenaladale, son of John Macdonald, 3rd of Borodale and 11th of Glenaladale and Jane Mcnab, in 1836.1 She died in 1890.1
     From 1836, her married name became Macdonald.

John Andrew Macdonald, 13th of Glenaladale1

     John Andrew Macdonald, 13th of Glenaladale was born on 29 July 1837.1 He was the son of Angus Macdonald, 12th of Glenaladale and Mary Agnes Watson.2 He married, firstly, Helen Mary Chaloner, daughter of Edward Chaloner, on 30 July 1862.1 He married, secondly, Margaret Mary Teresa Blount, daughter of Sir Edward Blount, 8th Bt. and Mary Frances Blount, on 13 August 1901.2 He died on 23 February 1916 at age 78, without issue.2
     He was educated at Ushaw School, Durham, County Durham, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 3rd (Inverness Militia) Battalion, Queens Own Cameron Highlanders.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1897.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Inverness-shire.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Argyllshire.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Inverness-shire.1 After his death, there has been no claimant to the representation of Glenaladale.1
