     Henry John Hope Barton was born on 25 February 1873 at Chelsea, London, England. He was the son of John Hope Barton and Florence Mary Annabella Ramsden.2,3 He married Emma Alice Lowther, daughter of George William Lowther and Mary Frances Alice Bingham, on 27 June 1903.1 He died on 20 September 1951 at age 78.1

     Lt.-Col. Sir William Guy Lowther, 5th Bt. was born on 9 October 1912.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Sir Charles Bingham Lowther, 4th Bt. and Marjory Noel Fielden.2 He married Grania Emerald Suzanne Campbell, daughter of Archibald James Hamilton Douglas-Campbell and Hon. Anna Leonora Beatrice Massey, on 18 July 1939.1 He died on 7 May 1982 at age 69.1
     Lt.-Col. Sir William Guy Lowther, 5th Bt. usually went by his middle name of Guy.1 He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.1 He fought in the Palestine Campaign in 1936, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he became a POW.1 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Lowther, of Swillington, co. York [U.K., 1824] on 22 January 1949.1 He fought in the Korean War between 1950 and 1951, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was Lieutenant-Colonel of the 8th Hussars between 1951 and 1954.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1952.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Denbighshire in 1959.1 He was admitted to Gentlemen-at-Arms between 1962 and 1982.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Denbighshire in 1969.1
