     Sir Charles Douglas Lowther, 6th Bt. was born on 22 January 1946.1 He is the son of Sir (William) Guy Lowther and Grania Emerald Suzanne Campbell.2 He and Melanie Pensée FitzHerbert Morton were divorced.1 He married, firstly, Melanie Pensée FitzHerbert Morton on 14 February 1969.1 He married, secondly, Florence Rose Cramsie, daughter of Lt.-Col. Alexander James Henry Cramsie and Gabrielle Patricia Hornby, in 1975.1
