     Major Melvil Farrant was the son of Colonel Henry Cecil Binstead Farrant.2 He married Hon. Anne Rachel Millicent Hewitt, daughter of Archibald Robert Hewitt, 6th Viscount Lifford and Helen Blanche Geach, on 11 April 1917.1 He died on 29 June 1961.1
     He gained the rank of Major in the service of the Royal Field Artillery.1

     Michael Rodney Farrant was born on 26 May 1918.1,2 He was the son of Major Melvil Farrant and Hon. Anne Rachel Millicent Hewitt.3 He died on 12 March 1970 at age 51 at Ratcliffe Infirmary, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.2
     He was educated at Blundell's School, Tiverton, Devon, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War.1

     Major Anthony Farrant was born on 6 December 1919.1 He was the son of Major Melvil Farrant and Hon. Anne Rachel Millicent Hewitt.2 He married Kathleen Joan Connell, daughter of Surgn.-Cdr. Richard Connell, on 21 May 1960.1 He died in December 1999 at Carlisle, Cumberland, England.3
     He gained the rank of Major in the service of the Border Regiment.1 He fought in the Second World War.1

     Kathleen Joan Connell is the daughter of Surgn.-Cdr. Richard Connell.2 She married, firstly, Peter Kirkland Rylands before 1960.1 She married, secondly, Major Anthony Farrant, son of Major Melvil Farrant and Hon. Anne Rachel Millicent Hewitt, on 21 May 1960.1
     From before 1960, her married name became Rylands.1 From 21 May 1960, her married name became Farrant.

Cornwallis Charles Hewitt was born on 3 March 1847.1 He was the son of James Hewitt, 4th Viscount Lifford and Lady Mary Acheson.2 He married Maria Hayes, daughter of Sir Edmund Samuel Hayes, 3rd Bt. and Emily Pakenham, on 7 December 1881.1 He died on 4 September 1889 at age 42, without issue.1
     He held the office of Prebendary of Tuam.1
