     Reverend William Legard was the son of Sir Digby Legard, 5th Bt. and Jane Cartwright.2 He married Cecilia Elizabeth Oldershaw, daughter of James Oldershaw, on 7 February 1803.1 He died on 1 February 1826.1
     He was Vicar at Ganton, Yorkshire, England.1

     Cecilia Elizabeth Oldershaw was the daughter of James Oldershaw.2 She married Reverend William Legard, son of Sir Digby Legard, 5th Bt. and Jane Cartwright, on 7 February 1803.1 She died on 31 December 1854.1
     From 7 February 1803, her married name became Legard.

     Captain James Anlaby Legard was born on 13 October 1805.1 He was the son of Reverend William Legard and Cecilia Elizabeth Oldershaw.2 He married Katherine Cayley, daughter of Sir George Cayley, 6th Bt. and Sarah Walker, on 6 May 1845.1 He died on 25 June 1869 at age 63.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.1

     Colonel Sir James Digby Legard was born on 12 July 1846.1 He was the son of Captain James Anlaby Legard and Katherine Cayley.2 He married Julia Helen Arkwright, daughter of Alfred Arkwright, on 30 August 1877.1 He died on 16 September 1935 at age 89.1

     Lt.-Col. Alfred Digby Legard was born on 19 June 1878.1 He was the son of Colonel Sir James Digby Legard and Julia Helen Arkwright.2 He married Winifred Morris, daughter of Colonel Sir William George Morris, on 19 August 1902.1 He died on 15 August 1939 at age 61.1
     He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1919.1 He gained the rank of Brevet Colonel in the King's Royal Rifle Corps.1

     Winifred Morris was the daughter of Colonel Sir William George Morris.1 She married, firstly, Lt.-Col. Alfred Digby Legard, son of Colonel Sir James Digby Legard and Julia Helen Arkwright, on 19 August 1902.1 She married, secondly, Maj.-Gen. George Henry Addison on 3 June 1947.1 She died in 1962.1
     From 19 August 1902, her married name became Legard. From 3 June 1947, her married name became Addison.1
