Martyn Cecil Gurney was Consul-General to Antwerp.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.)1 He was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.)1 He was Consul-General at Marseilles in 1914.2

Dorothy Nora Gurney was the daughter of Martyn Cecil Gurney.2 She married Lt.-Col. Sir Henry Allen Beaumont Johnson, 5th Bt., son of Brig.-Gen. Sir Henry Allen William Johnson, 4th Bt. and Ella Dyson, on 30 April 1917.1 She died on 25 January 1974.1
