     Admiral Sir George Knightley Chetwode was born on 10 December 1877.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Sir George Chetwode, 6th Bt. and Alice Jane Bass.2 He married, firstly, Alice Clara Vaughan-Lee, daughter of Major Vaughan Hanning Vaughan-Lee, on 4 February 1908.1 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Jane Taylor, daughter of Frederick Taylor, on 13 January 1939.1 He died on 11 March 1957 at age 79.1
     Admiral Sir George Knightley Chetwode fought in the Boxer Rebellion in 1900.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was decorated with the award of Order of St. Stanislaus of Russia (2nd Class with swords).1 He was decorated with the award of Hellenes Medal of Military Merit.1 He was decorated with the award of Legion of Merit.1 He was invested as a Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.).1 He gained the rank of Rear-Admiral in 1928.1 He was Aide-de-Camp to HM King Geoge V in 1928.1 He was Naval Secreatary to the First Lord of the Admirallty between 1929 and 1931.1 He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.).1 He was commanding officer of the 1st Cruiser Squadron, Mediterranean Fleet between 1932 and 1933.1 He gained the rank of Vice-Admiral in 1933.1 He was Admiral Commanding of the Reserves between 1933 and 1936.1 He gained the rank of Admiral in 1936.1

     Hugh Samuel Roger Elliot-Murray-Kynynmound was born on 3 April 1881. He was the son of Hugh Frederick Hislop Elliot-Murray-Kynynmound and Mary Euphemia Long. He married Rosa Maud Chesterfield on 26 July 1906. He died on 6 May 1930 at age 49, as the result of an aeroplane accident.
