Sir George Chetwode, 6th Bt. was commissioned in 1840, in the service of the 4th Foot.3 He fought in the Crimean War.3 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the 8th Hussars.1 He succeeded to the title of 6th Baronet Chetwode, of Oakley, co.
