     Sir James Mervyn was born in 1529.2 He was the son of Sir John Marvyn and Jane Baskerville.2 He married, firstly, Amy Clark, daughter of Valentine Clark.1 He married, secondly, Deborah Pilkington, daughter of James Pilkington and Alice Kingsmill.2 He died on 1 May 1611.2
     He lived at Fonthill Giffard, Wiltshire, EnglandG.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Wiltshire in 1572.2 He was appointed Knight in 1574.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Hindon in 1597.2

     Elizabeth Noel was born in 1590.2 She was the daughter of Sir Andrew Noel and Mabel Harington.1 She married, firstly, George Tuchet, 1st Earl of Castlehaven, son of Henry Tuchet, 10th Baron Audley (of Heleigh) and Elizabeth Sneyd, on 29 April 1611 at St. Mary le Strand, London, EnglandG.1 She married, secondly, Sir Pierse Crosbie, 1st and last Bt., son of Patrick Crosbie and Catherine O'Mores, on 6 March 1618/19 at St. Bride's, Fleet Street, London, EnglandG.1 She died after 8 December 1644.1
     After her marriage, Elizabeth Noel was styled as Baroness Audley on 29 April 1611. From 29 April 1611, her married name became Tuchet.1 After her marriage, Elizabeth Noel was styled as Countess of Castlehaven on 6 September 1616. From 6 March 1618/19, her married name became Crosbie.
