     General John Hale was the son of Sir Bernard Hale and Anne Thoresby.2 He married Mary Chaloner, daughter of William Chaloner and Mary Finny, on 11 June 1763.1 He died on 20 March 1806.1
     He lived at Plantation, Gisborough, Yorkshire, EnglandG.1 He held the office of Governor of Londonderry.1
