     John Ogilvy of Inverkeiler was the son of James Ogilvy, 4th Lord Ogilvy of Airlie and Helen Sinclair.1 He married Katherine Strachan.1 He died before 1603.1
     In 1569 were accused of the murder of James Ramsay, tutor of the Lowis.1
