     James Learmonth of Dairsie was born circa 1541.2 He was the son of Sir Patrick Learmonth of Dairsie and Isobel Balfour.2 A contract for the marriage of James Learmonth of Dairsie and Janet Sandilands was signed on 11 December 1560.1 He died after 1593.2
     He held the office of Provost of St. Andrews.2

     John Strang of Balcaskie is the son of George Strang of Balcaskie, younger and Christian Wood.2 A contract for the marriage of John Strang of Balcaskie and Grisel Sandilands was signed on 25 August 1565.1

     From 9 September 1569, her married name became Sandilands.1 From after 1580, her married name became Bonar.1
