Sir William Heathcoat-Amory, 5th Bt. was born on 19 August 1901.2 He was the son of Sir Ian Murray Heathcoat-Amory, 2nd Bt. and Alexandra Georgina Seymour.2 He married Margaret Isabella Dorothy Evelyn Doyle, daughter of Colonel Sir Arthur Havelock James Doyle, 4th Bt. and Joyce Ethelreda Howard, on 20 April 1933.2 He died on 27 August 1982 at age 81.2
