     Sir Charles Pigott Piers, 9th Bt. was born on 27 June 1870 at Hartford, Cheshire, EnglandG.1,2,3,5 He was the son of Sir Eustace Fitzmaurice Piers, 8th Bt. and Rose Saunders.5 He married Hester Constance Stella Brewis, daughter of Samuel Richard Brewis and Frances Caroline Williams-Wynn, on 27 August 1902.6 He died in June 1945 at Victoria, British Columbia, CanadaG.5,4 He died on 27 June 1945 at age 75.6
     He lived in 1871 at Toxteth Park, Lancashire, EnglandG.1,5 He lived in 1881 at Codicote, Hertfordshire, EnglandG.3,5 He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.6 He lived in 1891 at Hoxne, Suffolk, EnglandG, Undergraduate staying with the Castellains.5 He graduated from Trinity Hall, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1894 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)6 He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1901, he received the Queen's medal, four clasps.6 He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Piers, of Tristernagh Abbey, co. Westmeath [E., 1660/1] on 10 May 1913.6 He fought in the First World War.6 He gained the rank of Major between 1915 and 1916 in the 29th (Vancouver) Battalion Canadian Expeditionary Force.6 He was an Intell Officer and General Staff Officer in 1916.6 He was Staff Captain of the Canadian General Headquarters between 1916 and 1919.6 He gained the rank of Honorary Major in the 4th Battalion, Sherwood Foresters.6 He wrote the book Sport and Life in British Columbia.6
