     Sir Richard George Rowley Hill, 10th Bt. was born on 18 December 1925.¹ He was the son of Sir George Alfred Rowley Hill, 9th Bt. and Rose Ethel Kathleen Spratt.² He married Angela Mary Gallon, daughter of Lt.-Col. Stanley Herbert Gallon, on 2 March 1954.¹ He died in 1992.¹
     He was educated at Clayesmore School, Iwerne Minster, Dorset, England.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Royal Fusiliers and Sikh Regiment, Indian Army.¹ He was educated at Glasgow University, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.¹ He was invested as a Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.).¹ He gained the rank of Major in the service of the King's Own Scottish Borderers.¹ He succeeded to the title of 10th Baronet Hill, of Brook Hall, co.      Lt.-Col. Stanley Herbert Gallon lived at St. Duthus, Berwick-upon-Tweed, Northumberland, England.¹ He was decorated with the award of the Territorial Decoration (T.D.).¹
