     Eleanor Littleton was born on 6 December 1884 at St. George Hanover Square, London, England.^1,2 She was the daughter of Rear-Admiral Hon. Algernon Charles Littleton and Lady Margaret Needham.³ She died on 8 January 1963 at age 78, unmarried.¹

     Hon. Henry Stuart Littleton was born on 3 December 1844 at Hatherton, Staffordshire, England.^1,2 He was the son of Edward Richard Littleton, 2nd Baron Hatherton and Lady Margaret Percy.³ He married Agnes Caroline Shaw-Stewart, daughter of Sir Michael Robert Shaw-Stewart of Greenock and Blackhall, 7th Bt. and Lady Octavia Grosvenor, on 15 September 1898.¹ He died on 14 March 1933 at age 88, without issue.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Staffordshire Yeomanry.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) [Queensland].¹

     He gained the rank of Lieutenant between 1887 and 1890 in the service of the 3rd Battalion, North Staffordshire Regiment.¹ He was Officer in the service of HH The Rajah of Sarawak between 1890 and 1896.³ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Staffordshire.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Staffordshire.¹ He succeeded to the title of 4th Baron Hatherton, of Hatherton, co.      Hester Edithe Hoskins was the daughter of Thomas Tarrant Hoskins.² She married Edward Charles Rowley Littleton, 4th Baron Hatherton, son of Edward George Percy Littleton, 3rd Baron Hatherton and Charlotte Louisa Rowley, on 14 July 1897.¹ She died on 6 January 1947.¹
      From 14 July 1897, her married name became Littleton. As a result of her marriage, Hester Edithe Hoskins was styled as Baroness Hatherton on 24 August 1930.
