     George Harris, 1st Baron Harris was born on 18 March 1746.1 He was the son of Reverend George Harris and Sarah Twentyman.2 He married Anne Dickson, daughter of Charles Dickson, on 9 December 1779.1 He died on 19 May 1829 at age 83.1
     He was educated at Westminster School, Westminster, London, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Woolwich Academy, EnglandG.1 He fought in the American War of Independence.1 He fought in the Indian Campaigns between 1790 and 1791.1 He was Commander-in-Chief of the Madras Presidency between 1797 and 1800.1 He fought in the Battle of Seringapatam on 4 May 1799, where he defeated Tippoo Sahib and annexed Mysore.1 He was Colonel of the 73rd Highlanders between 1800 and 1829.1 He was created 1st Baron Harris, of Seringapatam and Mysore in the East Indies, and of Belmont, co. Kent [U.K.] on 11 August 1815.1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.) on 27 May 1820.1

Anne Dickson1

     Anne Dickson was the daughter of Charles Dickson.1 She married George Harris, 1st Baron Harris, son of Reverend George Harris and Sarah Twentyman, on 9 December 1779.1 She died on 30 July 1833.1
     From 9 December 1779, her married name became Harris. After her marriage, Anne Dickson was styled as Baroness Harris on 11 August 1815.

     Eliza Serena Anne Dick was the daughter of William Dick and Charlotte Maclaren.2,1 She married William George Harris, 2nd Baron Harris, son of George Harris, 1st Baron Harris and Anne Dickson, on 17 October 1809.1 She died on 25 January 1817.1
     From 17 October 1809, her married name became Harris.

George Francis Robert Harris, 3rd Baron Harris1

     George Francis Robert Harris, 3rd Baron Harris was born on 14 August 1810.1 He was the son of William George Harris, 2nd Baron Harris and Eliza Serena Anne Dick.2 He married Sarah Cummins, daughter of Venerable George Cummins, on 16 April 1850.1 He died on 23 November 1872 at age 62.1
     He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1832 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Harris, of Seringapatam and Mysore in the East Indies, and of Belmont, co. Kent [U.K., 1815] on 30 May 1845.1 He held the office of Governor of Trinidad in 1846.1 He held the office of Governor of Madras in 1854.1 He was a Lord-in-Waiting between 1860 and 1863.1 He was Chamberlain to HRH The Princess of Wales between 1862 and 1872.1 He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1863 with a Doctor of Civil Law (D.C.L.)1 He was appointed Knight Grand Commander, Order of the Star of India (G.C.S.I.) in 1866.1

     Sarah Cummins was the daughter of Venerable George Cummins.2 She married George Francis Robert Harris, 3rd Baron Harris, son of William George Harris, 2nd Baron Harris and Eliza Serena Anne Dick, on 16 April 1850.1 She died on 6 March 1853.1
     After her marriage, Sarah Cummins was styled as Baroness Harris on 16 April 1850. From 16 April 1850, her married name became Harris.
