Helen Jane Brancker was the daughter of John Brancker.2 She married Colonel Ramsay William Rainsford-Hannay of Kirkdale, son of Major Frederick Rainsford Hannay of Kirkdale and Rhoda Johnston, on 30 December 1874.1 She died on 5 February 1917.1

Colonel Frederick Rainsford-Hannay of Kirkdale was born on 28 April 1878.1 He was the son of Colonel Ramsay William Rainsford-Hannay of Kirkdale and Helen Jane Brancker.2 He married Dorothea Letitia May Maxwell, daughter of Sir William Francis Maxwell of Cardoness, 4th Bt., on 16 August 1910.1 He died on 11 September 1959 at age 81.1
He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, Kent, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902, where he was mentioned in despatches and was wounded.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches twice and was wounded.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1917.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1919.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Artillery.1 He was commander of the 52nd (Lowland) Division, Royal Artillery between 1924 and 1928.1

Lt.-Col. John Rainsford-Hannay was born on 4 September 1879.1 He was the son of Colonel Ramsay William Rainsford-Hannay of Kirkdale and Helen Jane Brancker.2 He married Evelyn Gordon Forbes, daughter of Stevenson Forbes and John Anne Gordon, on 8 January 1904.1 He died on 7 March 1951 at age 71.1
