     He was Justice of the Peace (J.P.).¹ He was Royal Navy (d ), on 8 February 1965.¹

     Joan Florence Hanmer was born on 22 November 1894.¹ She was the daughter of Thomas Hanmer and Edith Mary Brittain.² She married, firstly, Captain John Theobald Milne, son of Jack Milne, on 24 July 1917.¹ She married, secondly, Stuart Eddington Gay, son of William Gay, on 8 February 1923.¹ She died on 17 December 1975 at age 81.¹
      From 24 July 1917, her married name became Milne. From 8 February 1923, her married name became Gay.¹

     Jack Milne lived at The Brook House, Sutton Courtenay, Berkshire, England.¹
