     F/Lt. Francis Ernest Appleyard Kitto was the son of Colonel W. A. Kitto.¹ He married Esther Grant, daughter of Sir Alfred Hamilton Grant of Dalvey, 12th Bt. and Margaret Lucia Cochran, on 4 March 1944.¹ He died on 28 November 1964.¹

She was Private Secretary to the Earl of Selborne between 1949 and 1954.¹ From 3 June 1954, her married name became Tilney.² She was President of the National Council Women of Great Britain between 1968 and 1970.² She held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Lancashire between 1971 and 1974.¹ She held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of County Merseyside between 1974 and 1976.² She was Advisor to the Prime Minister between 1975 and 1983.² She was appointed Dame Commander, Order of the British Empire (D.B.E.) in 1983.¹

     Captain K. Lionel Hunter was the son of A. C. Hunter.² He married Guinevere Grant, daughter of Sir Alfred Hamilton Grant of Dalvey, 12th Bt. and Margaret Lucia Cochran, on 19 February 1944.¹ He died on 22 November 1947.
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Canadian Dragoons.¹
