Castlemartyr and County Cork 1765–68, Sheriff County Cork 1757 in 1753.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Castlemartyr between 1753 and 1760.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Cork between 1765 and 1768.1 He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baron Lisle of Mountnorth in 1781.
