     Sophie Allday was the daughter of John Farquhar Allday.² She married Thomas Gregory Foster, son of Reverend Thomas Foster, in August 1858.¹ She died on 11 July 1911.¹

     Sir Thomas Gregory Foster, 1st Bt. was born on 10 June 1866.¹ He was the son of Thomas Gregory Foster and Sophie Allday.² He married, firstly, Fanny Maude Sledge, daughter of James Sledge, on 15 August 1894.¹ He married, secondly, Elise Johanna Emma Augener, daughter of George Peter William Augener, on 3 March 1931.¹ He died on 24 September 1931 at age 65.¹
     He graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)¹ He was appointed Knight Bachelor in 1917.¹ He held the office of Vice-Chancellor of London University between 1928 and 1930.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Foster, of Bloomsbury, London [U.K.] on 5 February 1930.¹

     William Arthur John Foster was born on 1 January 1870.¹ He was the son of Thomas Gregory Foster and Sophie Allday.² He married Helen Sowerby Wallis, daughter of Richard Stephen Wallis, on 6 October 1897.¹ He died on 25 July 1947 at age 77.¹

     Richard Arthur Denys Foster was born on 9 October 1906.¹ He was the son of William Arthur John Foster and Helen Sowerby Wallis.² He married Helen Mary Burnett, daughter of John George Burnett and Catherine Sarah Helen, on 6 September 1930.² He died on 13 July 1987 at age 80.¹

     From 28 April 1885, her married name became Eyres.¹
