Margaret Henderson married Andrew Fairbairn, son of John Fairbairn and Helen Anderson, on 12 December 1783.1 She died on 21 January 1820.1

Sir Andrew Fairbairn was born on 5 March 1828.1 He was the son of Sir Peter Fairbairn and Margaret Kennedy.2 He married Clara Frederica Loraine, daughter of Sir John Lambton Loraine, 10th Bt., on 6 November 1862.1 He died on 31 May 1901 at age 73.1
He graduated from Peterhouse College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was 37th Wrangler.1 He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1852 entitled to practise as a barrister.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of the West Riding, Yorkshire.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for the West Riding, Yorkshire.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Leeds.1 He held the office of Mayor of Leeds between 1866 and 1868.1 He was appointed Knight in 1868.1 He gained the rank of Captain in 1875 in the Yorkshire Hussars Yeomanry.1 He gained the rank of Major in the 7th York Royal Volunteers.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)
