     Francis Dames-Longworth was born on 6 October 1862 at Glynwood, County Westmeath, Ireland.1 He was the son of Francis Travers Dames-Longworth and Frances Tennison Noble.1 He died on 20 August 1936 at age 73 at 50 Clarence Parade, Southsea, Hampshire, England.1
     Francis Dames-Longworth was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, England.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, in 1884 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1 He was an assistant master in 1885 at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, England.1 He was an assistant master between 1886 and 1908 at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, England.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, in 1893 with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He was a house master between 1908 and 1921 at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, England.1

     From 5 September 1888, her married name became Owen.1
