     Stephen Eardley-Wilmot was born on 11 August 1887.1 He was the son of Sir William Assheton Eardley-Wilmot, 3rd Bt. and Mary Watts-Russell.2 He married Marguerite May Prettie, daughter of Edgar C. Prettie, on 10 July 1923.1 He died on 23 March 1950 at age 62, without issue.1
     He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Temporary Lieutenant in the Northumberland Fusiliers.1
