     Alfred Stratford Dugdale was born on 8 November 1882.1 He was the son of Commander Edward Stratford Dugdale and Alice Florence Richards.2 He married, firstly, Eileen Browning, daughter of H. Gonne Browning, in 1916.1 He married, secondly, Phoebe Marianne Brodie, daughter of John Sharp Callender Brodie, on 25 August 1925.1 He died on 22 April 1974 at age 91.1
     He was educated at Westminster School, Westminster, London, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Merton College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1

     Eileen Browning was the daughter of H. Gonne Browning.2 She married Alfred Stratford Dugdale, son of Commander Edward Stratford Dugdale and Alice Florence Richards, in 1916.1 She died on 22 November 1917.1
     From 1916, her married name became Dugdale.

     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He graduated from King's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1939 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He graduated from King's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1946 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was Assistant with the London Museum between 1947 and 1952.1 He wrote the book Whitehall Through The Centuries, published 1950.1 He was Fellow of the Library Association in 1956.1 He was Assistant Librarian, Royal Geographical Society between 1957 and 1966.1 He was Librarian, Royal Geographical Society in 1966.1

Thomas William Sneyd and Charlotte Marion Repton, before 1914.1 She married, secondly, Alfred Stratford Dugdale, son of Commander Edward Stratford Dugdale and Alice Florence Richards, on 25 August 1925.1 She died on 29 March 1971.1
     From before 1925, her married name became Sneyd.1 From 25 August 1925, her married name became Dugdale.
