Olivia Nichola Dobbs was born on 26 July 1827.1 She was the daughter of Conway Richard Dobbs and Charlotte Maria Sinclair.2,1 She married Sir James Macaulay Higginson, son of Major James Higginson and Mary Macaulay, on 11 November 1854.1 She died in October 1906 at age 79.1

Sir James Macaulay Higginson was born in August 1805.2 He was the son of Major James Higginson and Mary Macaulay.2 He married, firstly, Louisa Mary Ann Shakespeare on 25 November 1835 at Calcutta, IndiaG.3 He married, secondly, Olivia Nichola Dobbs, daughter of Conway Richard Dobbs and Charlotte Maria Sinclair, on 11 November 1854.1 He died in 1885.1
He held the office of Governor of Mauritius.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)1 He lived at Brookhill, County Antrim, Ireland.4 He had three sons and two other daughters by his second wife.1
