     Louisa Emily Vernon was the daughter of John Edward Venables Vernon and Louisa Catharine Bowles.2,3 She married George William Cuppage, son of Edmund Floyd Cuppage and Louisa Elizabeth Thompson, on 2 June 1863.1 She died on 2 January 1908.1
     From 2 June 1863, her married name became Cuppage.

     Colonel Desmond George Burke Cuppage was born on 15 February 1912.1 He was the son of George Edward Vernon Cuppage and Stella Mary Kearney.2 He married Ann Vivien Francis Luck, daughter of Major Sidney Ivor Luck, on 6 October 1947.1 He died on 2 November 1970 at age 58.1
     He was educated at Cheltenham College, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1941.1 He retired from the military in 1956, with the rank of Colonel, late of the West Yorkshire Regiment (PWO).1
