     Diana Hester Shearer was born on 2 June 1937.¹ She is the daughter of Lt.-Col. Edgar Donald Reid Shearer and Hester Helena Cooke.² She married Patrick Evelyn McCorkell, son of Barry Francis McCorkell and Eileen Miller, on 21 June 1958.¹

     Patrick Evelyn McCorkell was born on 7 April 1927.² He was the son of Barry Francis McCorkell and Eileen Miller.^3,2 He married Diana Hester Shearer, daughter of Lt.-Col. Edgar Donald Reid Shearer and Hester Helena Cooke, on 21 June 1958.¹ He died on 30 March 2016 at age 88.⁴
     He was educated at Campbell College, Belfast, County Antrim, Ireland^G.² He held the office of High Sheriff of Londonderry in 1970.⁵ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Londonderry in 1971.⁵ He lived in 1976 at Templeard, Culmore, County Londonderry, Ireland^G.¹
