     Henry Astell Law, 7th Baron Ellenborough was born on 11 July 1889.¹ He was the son of Cecil Henry Towry-Law, 6th Baron Ellenborough and Alice Caroline Astell.² He married Helen Dorothy Lovatt, daughter of Harry William Lovatt, on 31 January 1923.¹ He died on 19 March 1945 at age 55.¹
     He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Dorset.¹ He was decorated with the award of the Military Cross (M.C.).¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Dorset.¹ He succeeded to the title of 7th Baron Ellenborough, of Ellenborough, co. Cumberland [U.K., 1802] on 22 January 1931.¹ He was admitted to Gentlemen-at-Arms in 1934.¹ He gained the rank of Major in 1934 in the service of the 1st Battalion, KOYLI.¹

     Helen Dorothy Lovatt was born circa 1901.¹ She was the daughter of Harry William Lovatt.² She married Henry Astell Law, 7th Baron Ellenborough, son of Cecil Henry Towry-Law, 6th Baron Ellenborough and Alice Caroline Astell, on 31 January 1923.¹ She died on 20 August 2002.¹
      Helen Dorothy Lovatt usually went by her middle name of Dorothy.¹ From 31 January 1923, her married name became Law. As a result of her marriage, Helen Dorothy Lovatt was styled as Baroness Ellenborough on 22 January 1931. She was invested as a Dame of Grace, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (D.St.J.).¹

     Cecilia Diana Law was born on 6 August 1958.¹ She is the daughter of Hon. Cecil Towry Henry Law and Daphne Mary Jean Methuen.² She married James E. Chamberlain, son of E. J. R. Chamberlain, in 1985.¹

     She graduated from St. Hilda's College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).¹ From 1986, her married name became Wheeler-Carmichael. She lived in 2003 at Hyde Grange, Chalford, Stroud, Gloucestershire, England.¹

     Catherine Rose Law was born on 6 March 1962.¹ She is the daughter of Hon. Cecil Towry Henry Law and Daphne Mary Jean Methuen.² She married Dr. Anthony Charles Murray Ayles, son of Dr. William Ayles, in 1985.¹
     She graduated from Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).¹ From 1985, her married name became Ayles.

     Richard Edward Cecil Law, 8th Baron Ellenborough was born on 14 January 1926.¹ He is the son of Henry Astell Law, 7th Baron Ellenborough and Helen Dorothy Lovatt.² He married, firstly, Rachel Mary Hedley, daughter of Major Ivor Mathews Hedley, on 9 October 1953.¹ He married, secondly, Frances Edith Joyce Yeates, daughter of William Thomas Yeates, on 12 March 1994.
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He succeeded to the title of 8th Baron Ellenborough, of Ellenborough, co. Cumberland [U.K., 1802] on 19 March 1945.¹ He was educated at Magdalene College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.¹ He was director of Towry Law Group in 1958.¹ He was partner of McAnally Montgomery, stockbrokers between 1969 and 1978.¹ He lived in 2003 at Withypool House, Observatory Close, Church Road, Crowborough, Sussex, England.¹
