James Ian Macpherson, 1st Baron Strathcarron was born on 14 May 1880.1 He was the son of James Macpherson and Anne Stewart.2 He married Elizabeth Marjorie Rhodes, daughter of Sir George Wood Rhodes, 1st Bt. and Margaret Catherine Phillips, on 24 September 1915.1 He died on 14 August 1937 at age 57.1

John Donald Macpherson was born on 25 July 1883.1 He was the son of James Macpherson and Anne Stewart.2 He married Mary Kininmonth Simpson, daughter of John Simpson, on 15 March 1922.1 He died on 2 January 1960 at age 76, without issue.1
