     Colonel James Francis Richard Butler was baptised at Saint-Germain-en-Laye, Île-de-France, FranceG.1 He was the son of Colonel Hon. Richard Butler and Lucy Cavanagh.2 He married Louise Marie Burke, daughter of Maurice Burke, before 1753.1 He died circa 1770, without issue.1
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the French Army.1 He was styled as 4th Viscount of Galmoye, in co. Kilkenny [I., 1646] on 18 June 1740, despite the attainder of the 3rd Viscount.1

     Piers Louis Antoine Butler was born on 13 June 1741.1 He was the son of Francis Piers Butler and Catherine Julie de Valory.2 He was baptised as a legitimated according to French law (but not with regard to succession of family style and title) in 1745 at Arras, FranceG.1 He died in 1826, without issue.1
     He was styled as Viscount of Galmoye wrongly assumed in 1771.1
