     Robert Burrowes was born on 19 March 1810.1 He was the son of Major Thomas Burrowes and Susan Seward.2 He married Anna Frances Carden, daughter of John Carden and Ann Rutter, on 16 October 1838.1 He was also reported to have been married on 13 October 1838.3 He died on 4 December 1881 at age 71.1
     Robert Burrowes was educated at Harrow School, Harrow on the Hill, London, England.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Cavan in 1838.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of County Cavan.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Cavan.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Cavan between 1855 and 1857.1 He lived at Stradone House, County Cavan, Ireland.1

     James Edward Burrowes was born on 23 November 1820.1 He was the son of Major Thomas Burrowes and Susan Seward.2 He married Mary Anne Nesbitt, daughter of John Nesbitt, on 4 July 1854.1 He died on 16 November 1860 at age 39,.1
     James Edward Burrowes graduated from University College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1844 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1
