     Herman Alfred Stern, 2nd Baron Michelham was born on 5 September 1900.1 He was the son of Herbert Stern, 1st Baron Michelham and Aimée Geraldine Bradshaw.1 He married Berthe Isabelle Susanna Flora Capel, daughter of Arthur Joseph Capel and Berthe Andrée A. E. Lorin, on 4 January 1919.2 He died on 19 March 1984 at age 83.1,3
     He was educated at Malvern College, Malvern, Worcestershire, England.2 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Michelham [U.K., 1905] on 7 January 1919.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Stern, of Hellingly, co. Sussex [U.K., 1905] on 7 January 1919.2 On his death, his barony became extinct.1
