     Major William Brereton was born on 16 May 1723.¹ He was the son of William Brereton and Alice Norcott.² He married, secondly, Harriet Hooley.¹ He married, firstly, Marion Edmonston in 1747.¹ He died on 13 January 1813 at age 89.¹
     Bath 1777 80.¹ He gained the rank of Cornet in the 6th Inniskilling, Dragoon Guards.¹ He fought in the Battle of Culloden in 1746.¹ He was Master of Ceremonies at Lower Assembly Rooms between 1777 and 1780 at Bath, Somerset, England^G.¹

     Janetta Brereton was the daughter of Major William Brereton and Marion Edmonston.² She married, firstly, George Brereton, son of George Brereton and Alicia Freeman, on 19 November 1771.¹ She married, secondly, Lt.-Col. Robert Kennan, son of Thomas Kennan, in 1783.¹ She died in 1825.¹
     From 1783, her married name became Kennan.¹ She sold New Abbey in 1807 to Lt.-Gen. Robert Brereton.¹

     Marion Henrietta Brereton was the daughter of George Brereton and Janetta Brereton.² She died in 1857, unmarried.¹

     Julia Brereton was baptised on 26 April 1775.¹ She was the daughter of George Brereton and Janetta Brereton.² She died, unmarried.¹

     Alicia Brereton was baptised on 27 November 1776.¹ She was the daughter of George Brereton and Janetta Brereton.² She married Reverend Benjamin Hobart on 17 April 1795.¹
     From 17 April 1795, her married name became Hobart.

     Reverend Benjamin Hobart married Alicia Brereton, daughter of George Brereton and Janetta Brereton, on 17 April 1795.¹
     He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He had one son.¹ He lived at Carlow, County Carlow, Ireland^G.¹ He was the Curate at Brannockstown, County Kildare, Ireland^G.¹

     Janetta Mary Brereton was baptised on 27 November 1776.¹ She was the daughter of George Brereton and Janetta Brereton.² She married, firstly, William Fraunceis, son of John Fraunceis, on 19 February 1796.¹ She married, secondly, unknown Chapman after 1815.¹ She married, thirdly, Frederick French Loder, son of John Loder and Bathsheba Wansey Cantelo, on 27 December 1837 at St. Martins in the Fields, London, England^G.¹ She died in 1853 at St. Pancras, London, England^G.³
     From 19 February 1796, her married name became Fraunceis. From after 1815, her married name became Chapman.¹ From 27 December 1837, her married name became Loder.

     John Fraunceis lived at Combe Florey, Somerset, England^G.¹

     William Fraunceis was the son of John Fraunceis.² He married Janetta Mary Brereton, daughter of George Brereton and Janetta Brereton, on 19 February 1796.¹ He died on 2 November 1815, without issue.¹
     He lived at St. James Place, Taunton, Somerset, England^G.¹

     Anthony Alcock married Jane Brereton, daughter of Edward Brereton and Helen Bowen, in 1741.¹
     Note that it may have been one of Jane's sisters, Margery or Catherine, that he married.¹ He lived at Bruel, County Kildare, Ireland^G.¹
