     Edward Brereton is the son of Edward Brereton and Helen (?).2 He married Helen Bowen, daughter of William Bowen, in 1665.1 He died in 1698,.1
     Edward Brereton held the office of High Sheriff of Queen's County in 1677.1 He lived at Shannenmullen, County Laois, Ireland.1 He lived at Loughtioge, County Laois, Ireland.1

     Helen Bowen was the daughter of William Bowen.1 She married Edward Brereton, son of Edward Brereton and Helen (?), in 1665.1 She died in 1712.1
     From 1665, her married name became Brereton.

     John Brereton gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Colonel Charles O'Moore's Regiment of Foot in King James's Army.1 He was attainted for loyalty to King James II.1 He lived at Shannenmullen, County Laois, Ireland.1 He lived at Loughtioge, County Laois, Ireland.1 In 1702 his estates were forfeited to the crown and estates sold.1
