     Mary Gage was the daughter of Sir John Gage, 4th Bt. and Mary Stanley. She married Henry Roper, 8th Baron Teynham, son of Christopher Roper, 5th Baron Teynham and Hon. Elizabeth Browne, on 22 January 1715/16. She died circa December 1716. She was buried on 10 January 1716/17.
     Her married name became Roper.

     Catherine Smythe was the daughter of Philip Smythe, 2nd Viscount Strangford and Mary Porter. She married Henry Roper, 8th Baron Teynham, son of Christopher Roper, 5th Baron Teynham and Hon. Elizabeth Browne, on 25 January 1703/4. She died on 26 April 1711.
     Her married name became Roper.

     Philip Smythe, 2nd Viscount Strangford was born in 1634. He married Lady Isabella Sydney, daughter of Robert Sydney, 2nd Earl of Leicester and Lady Dorothy Percy, on 22 August 1656.1 He died in 1708.
     Philip Smythe, 2nd Viscount Strangford was also known as (?) Strangford 2nd Viscount Strangford.1 He gained the title of 2nd Viscount Strangford.
