     James Boyd was born in 1817.1 He is the son of John Boyd and Hannah Hogan.2 He married Martha Colcough, daughter of Bagenal Colcough, on 28 December 1854.1 He died on 25 March 1892.1
     James Boyd was educated at Royal College of Surgeons, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.1 He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.).1 He lived at Kiltra House, County Wexford, Ireland.1
