     Sir James O'Connell, 1st Bt. was born on 10 January 1786.1 He was the son of Morgan O'Connell and Catherine O'Mullane.2 He married Jane O'Donoghue, daughter of Charles O'Donoghue, The O'Donaghue of the Glens and Mary Morrough, on 31 March 1818.1 He died on 28 July 1872 at age 86.1
     Sir James O'Connell, 1st Bt. was created 1st Baronet O'Connell, of Lakeview, Killarney, co. Kerry and of Ballybeggan, Tralee, co. Kerry [U.K.] on 29 October 1869.1

     Jane O'Donoghue was baptised on 20 November 1801.4 She was the daughter of Charles O'Donoghue, The O'Donaghue of the Glens and Mary Morrough.2,3 She married Sir James O'Connell, 1st Bt., son of Morgan O'Connell and Catherine O'Mullane, on 31 March 1818.1 She died on 15 April 1867 at age 65.1
     From 31 March 1818, her married name became O'Connell.

     James Donal O'Connell was born on 8 August 1864.1 He was the son of Daniel James O'Connell and Frances Mary Lawlor.2 He married Mary Seraph Messner on 27 February 1900.1 He died on 21 December 1909 at age 45, without issue.1
     James Donal O'Connell gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Royal Irish Regiment.1
