     Violet Bertha Bridges was the daughter of T. Despard Bridges.2 She married Ian Hector de la Rue, son of Sir Evelyn Andros de la Rue, 2nd Bt. and Mary Violet Francklin, on 14 November 1936.1 She died in 1983.1
     From 14 November 1936, her married name became de la Rue.

     Anthony St. Vincent de la Rue was born on 13 January 1947.1 He is the son of Ian Hector de la Rue and Violet Bertha Bridges.2 He married, firstly, Ann Wyndham Blair, daughter of Frederic Roberts Blair, in 1971.1 He and Ann Wyndham Blair were divorced in 1985.1 He married, secondly, Merry Thompson, daughter of Lt.-Col. Sir Edward Hugh Dudley Thompson, on 15 April 1986.1
     Anthony St. Vincent de la Rue was educated at Peterhouse School, Marondera, Zimbabwe.3 He was educated at University of Natal, Natal, South Africa.1 He was a chartered accountant, and senior partner with Ernst and Young, Central Africa.1 He lived in 2003 at Chisipite, Harare, Zimbabwe.1
