     Lt.-Col. Julius Francis Chenevix Trench was born on 2 November 1885.1 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Frederick Chenevix Trench and Mary Frederica Blanche Mulville.1 He married Winifred Mary Frances Shirley, daughter of Sewallis Evelyn Shirley and Emily Jean Macdonald, on 21 October 1929.1 He died on 15 January 1948 at age 62, without issue.1
     He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Brevet-Major.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1918.1 He fought in the Mesopotamia Campaign in 1920, where he won a medal and clasp.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Berwickshire.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1944.1
