     Francis Douglas Maitland-Heriot was born on 26 January 1860.¹ He was the son of Frederick Lewis Maitland-Heriot and Martha Agnew.² He married Margaret Louisa Maitland, daughter of Lt.-Col. H. D. Maitland, on 17 October 1916.¹ He died on 13 April 1937 at age 77.¹
     He was educated at Edinburgh Academy, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.¹

     Lt.-Col. H. D. Maitland gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Indian Army.¹

     Gertrude Margaret Maitland-Heriot was born on 26 July 1861 at Kettle, Fife, Scotland.² She was the daughter of Frederick Lewis Maitland-Heriot and Martha Agnew.³ She married James Home Rigg, son of Patrick Rigg and Margaret Brougham, on 19 January 1881.¹ She died on 22 February 1946 at age 84.¹
      From 19 January 1881, her married name became Rigg.

     D. R. McPherson lived at Kilspindie, Perthshire, Scotland.¹

     James Home Rigg was the son of Patrick Rigg and Margaret Brougham.^2,1 He married Gertrude Margaret Maitland-Heriot, daughter of Frederick Lewis Maitland-Heriot and Martha Agnew, on 19 January 1881.¹ He died on 9 January 1927.¹
     He lived at Downfield and Tarvit, Cupar, Fife, Scotland.¹

     Elizabeth Carnegie Maitland-Heriot was born on 20 June 1864 at Kettle, Fife, Scotland.² She was the daughter of Frederick Lewis Maitland-Heriot and Martha Agnew.³ She married Sir Alexander Sharp Bethune of Scotscraig, 9th Bt. on 8 November 1889.¹ She died on 16 March 1935 at age 70.¹
