     Major Charles Robert Thropp Thorp gained the rank of Major in the service of the King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry.1 He was decorated with the award of Military Cross (M.C.).1

     Barbara de Hoghton was born on 2 May 1894.1 She was the daughter of Sir James de Hoghton, 11th Bt. and Aimee Jean Grove.2 She married, firstly, Robert Myles Heywood, son of Robert Heywood, on 8 December 1914.1 She married, secondly, Richard Leveson Vernon, son of Walter Bertie William Vernon, on 4 October 1926.3
     From 8 December 1914, her married name became Heywood. From 4 October 1926, her married name became Vernon.3

     Robert Myles Heywood was 2nd Lieutenant 3rd Battalion E Kent Regiment.1 Only.1 He lived Hales Hall.1 He was Staffordshire.1

     Sir Henry Philip Anthony Mary de Hoghton, 13th Bt. was born on 19 April 1919.1 He was the son of Sir Cuthbert de Hoghton, 12th Bt. and Helen Macdonald.2 He died on 20 February 1978 at age 58, unmarried.1
     Sir Henry Philip Anthony Mary de Hoghton, 13th Bt. was also known as Anthony.1 He was educated at Beaumont College, Old Windsor, Berkshire, England.3 He was educated at Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He was Coroner for the Manor of Walton-le-Dale.1 He succeeded to the title of 13th Baronet Hoghton, of Hoghton Tower, and Walton le Dale, co. Lancaster [E., 1611] on 5 December 1958.3
