Lt.-Col. Charles Dashwood was born on 9 December 1787.1 He was the son of Sir Henry Watkin Dashwood, 3rd Bt. and Mary Helen Graham.2 He married Caroline Barlow, daughter of Admiral Sir Robert Barlow and Elizabeth Garrett, on 27 February 1822.1 He died on 20 April 1832 at age 44, without issue.1
He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Fusiliers Guards.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)1
