     Laura Jenny Darroch was born on 25 February 1959.1 She is the daughter of Duncan Darroch, 8th of Gourock and Nicola Jeanne Seidl.2 She married John Martin Gilbert, son of John Reginald Gilbert, on 21 September 1985.1
     Laura Jenny Darroch was registered as a Registered General Nurse (R.G.N.) in 1981.1 She was registered as a Registered Sick Children's Nurse (R.S.C.N.) in 1983.1 From 21 September 1985, her married name became Gilbert.
