     Brigadier Edmond Wodehouse was born on 25 March 1894.1 He was the son of Rear-Admiral Capel Wodehouse and Portia Maria Rashleigh.2 He married Persis Joan Mary Rooper, daughter of Edward Plumer Rooper, on 22 August 1935.1 He died on 31 December 1959 at age 65.1
     Brigadier Edmond Wodehouse was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England.3 He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded.3 He gained the rank of Brigadier in the service of the Royal Welch Fusiliers.3 He fought in the Second World War.3 He was Military Attaché to Eire in 1942.1 He was invested as a Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1948.1
