     James Trail was born on 26 July 1789.¹ He was the son of Venerable Anthony Trail and Agnes Gayer.² He died on 27 June 1810 at age 20 at Madeira, Portugal^G, unmarried.¹

     William Traill was born on 3 August 1791.¹ He was the son of Venerable Anthony Trail and Agnes Gayer.² He married, firstly, Louisa Ann Lloyd, daughter of Venerable Thomas Lloyd and Elizabeth FitzGerald, on 11 November 1824.¹ He married, secondly, Louisa Henrietta ffrench, daughter of Robert ffrench and Nicola Maria O'Brien, on 28 July 1836.¹
     He was given the name of William Trail at birth.² He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He graduated from Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G, with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)¹ He lived at Ballylough, County Antrim, Ireland^G.¹

     Reverend Robert Trail was born on 15 July 1793.¹ He was the son of Venerable Anthony Trail and Agnes Gayer.² He married Anne Hayes, daughter of Sir Samuel Hayes, 2nd Bt. and Elizabeth Lighton, on 11 February 1829 at St. Peter's Church, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.¹ He died on 21 April 1847 at age 53.³
     He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)² He lived at Stranorlar, County Donegal, Ireland^G.⁴ He was the Rector at Skull, County Cork, Ireland^G.¹

     Sir Samuel Hayes, 2nd Bt. married Elizabeth Lighton, daughter of Sir Thomas Lighton, 1st Bt. and Anne Pollock.²
     He gained the title of 2nd Baronet Hayes, of Drumboe.

     Anne Hayes was the daughter of Sir Samuel Hayes, 2nd Bt. and Elizabeth Lighton.² She married Reverend Robert Trail, son of Venerable Anthony Trail and Agnes Gayer, on 11 February 1829 at St. Peter's Church, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.¹ She died in 1890.³
     From 11 February 1829, her married name became Trail.

     Robert Trail is the son of Reverend Robert Trail and Anne Hayes.²
     He emigrated to Argentina^G and founded the branch there.¹

     Edmund Trail is the son of Reverend Robert Trail and Anne Hayes.²

     Kathleen Trail was born in 1838.² She was the daughter of Reverend Robert Trail and Anne Hayes.³ She married John Hatch Synge, son of John Synge and Isabella Hamilton, on 18 January 1856.¹ She died in October 1908.¹
     From 18 January 1856, her married name became Synge.³

     John Hatch Synge was born on 10 June 1823.¹ He was the son of John Synge and Isabella Hamilton.¹ He married Kathleen Trail, daughter of Reverend Robert Trail and Anne Hayes, on 18 January 1856.² He died on 13 April 1872 at age 48.²
     He lived at Glanmore Castle, Ashford, County Wicklow, Ireland^G.²

     Catherine Trail was the daughter of Venerable Anthony Trail and Agnes Gayer.² She died on 23 March 1823, unmarried.¹
