Rt. Hon. Anthony Foster1

     Rt. Hon. Anthony Foster was born in 1705.2 He was the son of John Foster and Elizabeth Fortescue.1,3 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Burgh, daughter of William Burgh and Margaret Parnell, on 25 February 1736.4 He married, secondly, Dorothea Burgh, daughter of Thomas Burgh and Mary Smyth, on 29 July 1749.4 He died on 3 April 1778.4
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Dunleer between 1737 and 1760.4 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Louth between 1761 and 1767.3 He held the office of Chief Baron of the Exchequer [Ireland] between 1766 and 1777.1 He lived at Collon, County Louth, IrelandG.4
